This is a totally refurbished land commission cottage (circa 1930s) on an elevated setting overlooking Lough Feeagh, close to Newport, Co. Mayo. The refurbishment is to a very high standard and in keeping with the history of the property. The rear of the cottage looks out onto a wild mountain landscape. This is an ideal site for someone who wishes to get away from it all and enjoy unspoiled natural amenities, yet close enough to Newport and Westport to enjoy what they have to offer also.
The house sleeps 4/6 people and has two bedrooms with one double and two singles. There is also a sofa bed available. The bathroom has an instantly heated shower. The house is heated with oil-fired central heating. There is also an open fireplace in the sitting room.
Kitchen facilities include fridge/freezer, microwave, automatic washing machine and electric cooker. Iron/ironing board, crockery/cutlery/saucepans provided. Clothes line in garden.
The property also offers colour television with video and water heating immersion. There are enclosed wild gardens surrounding the property. No pets allowed. Ample car parking availablr. ESB and central heating oil are metered charges not inclusive. Linen provided.

Directions
Take the Achill road from Newport (N59). Take the third right after leaving Newport (1km. from town). This road is signposted for the Salmon Research Centre and the Bangor Walking Trail. Proceed along this road for 3 kilometres until you come to a crossroads (until you are half way along Lough Feeagh which is the second and larger of the two lakes). Take a right turn and a left 100 metres later. proceed along this road for a further 3 kilometres. The property is on an elevated site on your right hand side. By the roadside entrance to the property you will find a large stone with 'Sí Gaot' written on it. We advise you make contact with the key holder prior to arrival and arrange to meet them prior to proceeding to the property.
